Last week marked the beginning of the build-out phase for the public portion of our new website. Our web development vendor, TerminalFour, has finished its discovery phase and is now working with the designs completed by iFactory to create our new site. By the beginning of April, the content management system (CMS) for the public portion of the site will be complete and ready for content migration.
From now until mid-April, content contributors should continue to examine and update content currently existing on their respective department pages. They can use the keyscreens and templates provided previously as guides. All departments should plan to begin migrating content by April 16 in preparation for the public site final review and launch (scheduled for the end of June). Content contributors should also plan for training on the CMS, to be held in early April.
Important date milestones to remember:
- March 27 to 29 – CMS training for key personnel
- Early April – CMS training for content contributors
- April 16 to June 30 – content migration
- June 30, 2012 – public site launch
