Information architecture phase begins

On July 28, our iFactory project manager, chief strategist and information architect met to begin the information architecture phase of the project. They are scheduled to present to the Marcomm core web team a preview of the proposed site map on Friday, Aug. 19.

Information architecture as it relates to website design and development is the discipline of organizing a site’s information in a way that meets the needs of the site’s users; information architects create the navigation and determine what elements will appear on which pages. Learn more about it.

iFactory’s team uses the information they collected during the extensive discovery process to prepare a new site map defining how the information should be best organized. After this phase is completed, the visual design phase will begin.
